2,500 pieces, identical photolithograph printed image on metallic paper, sewn, dimensions unknown, 2017.
This is a large-scale installation piece that was originally hung on a wall and now displayed in a handmade box (not pictured). Its an exploration of time and memory surrounding the death of my father 7 years ago. I printed 2,500 of a single photograph of my father sleeping, which is equal to the number of days since he’s passed as of March 1st, 2018. I then sewed them together in a garland. I wanted to make the days and weeks and months since his death tangible for myself; to try to understand the linear and non-linear experiences and qualities of time.
